IJRC and “The List” 04/12/2009
The International Jumping Riders’
didn’t know the so called "20 october List" and the progressive list and its details (permissible level and dosage ) that has been approved by the NFS in
Furthermore, athletes have no right to vote at the FEI General Assembly (It would be interesting to discuss the reason for this… )
In this moment it would be unprofessional and not very useful to come out with rushed and imprecise evaluations on such an important subject. Before expressing an opinion, the Jumping Riders Club would like to consult experts, scientists and vets as to the scientific and ethical value as well as the consequences of this new list. After we discuss this in depth internally we will be in the position to express our opinion.
It is not in the interest of the athletes to allow doping or mistreatment of any kind to their most valued partners. The horses’ welfare is paramount.
Above all, like all citizens, professional riders strongly respect the law of each country.
