On Steve Guerdat web site we read: "We are sad to announce that Steve's head and heart mare, Albführen's Bianca, has passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. All of Steve's team took care of the little princess during her last moments Bianca, in her 15th year, gave Steve some of his greatest results. These include incredible double clear rounds in Nations Cups,
including winning the CSIO in La Baule (2019), third place at the World Championships in Tryon (2018), winning Windsor the same year but also magnicent rankings throughout the last 6 years.
She was called the Queen of the Guerdat stables, loved by all and left no one indifferent. As a boss, she had a strong character and her craziest gave her a spectacular jumping stroke recognizable among all. She will leave a huge gap behind her and will join Jalisca Solier.
Considered an integral member of the Guerdat family, Albführen's Bianca will always be our star. We would like to thank her owner Albführen's and the Frey family for allowing us to cross paths with this phenomenon.
Steve will not be giving any interviews as this loss affects him greatly.
Below is a statement from Steve:
"My dear Bianca; My Queen; you left much too soon and my
heart is broken today. You gave us so much happiness over the last years that this is a cruel moment. Cruel because I would have liked to be able to offer you so much more. Cruel because you will leave behind you a huge void. My heart rings hollow tonight, because I already miss you. I tried today to fight for you and this victory in the Nations Cup is dedicated to you. You are going to join Princess Jalisca and from there you will both watch over us.
I never thought I would have the chance to ride a horse of your
level and I am so proud of you. Rest in peace"
OUR THOUGHTS GO OUT TO STEVE AND ALL THOSE CLOSE TO ALBFÜHREN’S BIANCA
