Cancellation of the LONGINES CSI BASEL 2021
On the official facebook page of the event we read:
With the greatest regret we are forced by the current COVID situation to cancel the LONGINES CSI BASEL from 7-10 January 2021. The last days showed a very bad development of the situation especially in the region of Basel where until the end of the year already major events with more than 1'000 spectators have been banned. This makes a serious preparation of the event impossible. This applies not only to us but also to the riders and their horses.
We would like to thank our partners. It is fantastic how everyone and especially the whole region of Basel has pulled together to make this event possible. Thanks also to all those who have already worked hard for this event. In spring we will start again with the preparation of the LONGINES CSI BASEL from 13th to 16th January 2022, hopefully under completely different conditions.
At the moment, there are only three events of the the Western European League left:
Mechelen (Belgium) December 26-30, 2020
Leipzig (Germany) 4 - 17 January 2021
Bordeaux (France) 4 - 7 February 2021
