The FEI Board met via videoconference on 19 January to discuss a number of topics and passed the following resolutions.
Covid-19 Related Resolutions
The following Resolutions and Decisions were made in relation to Covid-19. These can all viewed on the Covid-19 hub under Resolutions & Decisions. Please note the Emergency Board Resolution regarding Para Equestrian Classification Rules whereby NFs have until 21 February 2021 to signify their disapproval by sending an email to Francisco P. Lima, Director Governance & Institutional Affairs.
Calendar Task Forces
Based on the Board Resolution of 24 March 2020, the FEI Board confirmed that the Calendar Task Forces would remain in place in 2021 until further decision from the Board.
Covid-19 Exemption in Para Equestrian Classification Rules (* Emergency Board Resolution)
The Board approved the proposed exemption to the Para Equestrian Classification Rules in relation to Articles 15.10 and 15.13 and thereby allowing Athletes with a Review status or Review with Fixed Review date status to apply to have a classification evaluation at an Event at which they are not competing. All requests will be evaluated by the Classification Working Group on a case by case basis.
Tokyo 2020 Competition Schedules
The Board approved the Competition Schedules for the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which can be found here.

Elections & Appointments 2021: Outgoing Reining Members
The Board agreed not to open the positions on 1 February 2021 for the two outgoing members of the Reining Committee for the time being, until further discussions have been taken regarding the future of Reining as an FEI Discipline.
Bidding Process FEI World Championships 2026
The Board agreed to open the bidding process for the FEI World Championships 2026, after the FEI World Championships 2022; and to maintain the same philosophy applied in 2022 according to which the FEI will open a bid process for individual FEI World Championships in all disciplines for 2026 based on the following criteria:
Preference will be given to multi-discipline bids
FEI World Championships for Dressage and Para Dressage should ideally be combined; and
Bids to host all seven disciplines in 2026 as FEI World Equestrian Games™ will also be considered.

The Board approved the proposed modifications to the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Rules 2021, and in particular with regards to:

FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Point System/Results
Prize Money (a prolongation of the Covid-19 provision established in 2020 to be maintained until the situation is deemed to have returned to normal.)
