FEI invites expressions of interest for FEI European Championships 2027 and 2029 and FEI World Cup™ Finals 2027 and 2028

The FEI is inviting potential candidates for the FEI European Championships 2027 and 2029 (all disciplines) and the FEI World Cup™ Finals (Jumping, Dressage, Vaulting, Driving) 2027 and 2028 to submit ‘expressions of interest’.

As discussed during the “Championship Review” session during the FEI Sports Forum 2024, the FEI has commenced a review of all obligations/requirements that apply to the hosts of senior FEI Championships/Finals. The outcome of that review will be the publication of updated, detailed bidding guides in relation to such FEI Championships/Finals. As the review process is expected to take a number of months the FEI has decided to already launch the ‘expression of interest’ phase of the bidding process so that preliminary discussions with interested parties can commence.

The full bid process will consist of the following 4 phases:

  • Phase 1: Expression of interest (25 June 2024)
  • Phase 2: Bidding (September 2024)
  • Phase 3: Review of bids (TBC)
  • Phase 4: Allocation (TBC)

Detailed information on each phase of the bidding process is attached.

The call for expressions of interest gives National Federations and Organising Committees the opportunity to engage in open and non-binding discussions with the FEI regarding the potential submission of a bid. The submission of an expression of interest is entirely optional and is not a pre-condition to submitting a formal bid in Phase 2.

Expressions of interest should be sent to bidding@fei.org

National Federations are kindly asked to share this information with the Organising Committees.

For any questions regarding the bidding process, please contact bidding@fei.org.
