The International Jumping Riders Club since 1977 is the voice of the showjumping riders from around the world.
The program just entered the tenth year of activity and opened its 9th edition with Selection 2023, which has taken place this week in the Netherlands.
Twenty-five talented riders, representing fourteen nations, gathered last Monday at Peelbergen equestrian centre and engaged in a cheerful atmosphere, they competed at the highest level. As planned the selection had been in its new format to assure all riders and Selection Panel the same conditions for assessment. Athletes had been asked to perform with a young horse and an experienced horse. The two days program integrated four classes for YRA only, in compliance with Panel standards and to guarantee candidates’ full focus.
The level of the athletes was unquestionably high again, and the performances had been impressive as stated by Thierry Pomel, Otto Becker, and Hendrix, for the Panel, indeed, it will be another arduous task.
Nomination for YRA team '23 will be announced in the coming weeks.
As these few days had been exciting as always, we want to greatly thank all the athletes who took part in it, the National Federations who well supported them and the Peelbergen Equestrian Center who perfectly hosted the event.
