Herning, Jumping day one

The atmosphere is wonderful and enthralling at the Equipark in Herning these days.

There are moments of great sport in the vast and superbly organised area where everything possible has been done down to the very last detail to welcome athletes, horses and riders, and spectators.
Today, in the large sand arena of the Stutteri Ask Stadium, the first round of the Team and Individual Jumping Championships took place over a Table C speed class with jumps at 1.55m.
At the end of this first day of jumping the team ranking saw Sweden in the lead followed by France and Belgium, while in the individual championships Julien Epaillard riding Caracole de la Roque finished in 79.08 seconds with Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson (79.54) in second
place followed by Martin Fuchs and Leone Jei (79.79), Peder Fredricsson riding H&M All In (79.88) and Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward (80.23).

It’s worth emphasising that there are 37 horse and rider combinations with fewer than 4 faults.
