IJRC Board Member Kent Farrington Withdraws from World Championships Consideration

World No.1 Kent Farrington has announced that he will not be available for selection for the U.S. team at the 2026 FEI Jumping World Championships in Aachen.

The American rider has chosen to focus on the long-term development of his top horses, with the ultimate objective of having them in peak condition for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
In explaining his decision, Farrington said he believes this is the right approach for both Greya and Descartes SR. While Greya has already achieved outstanding success this season, Descartes SR is still gaining valuable experience at the highest level. By stepping back from championship selection this year, Farrington aims to give both horses the time needed to continue their progression without compromising future goals.
