IJRC Board Member Kent Farrington new World No. 1

Kent Farrington, Board Member of the International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC), has reclaimed the world number one spot in the Longines FEI Jumping Rankings—marking a powerful comeback since he last held the position in 2017 for an impressive 12 consecutive months.

Farrington’s return to the top ends the remarkable 33-month reign of Swedish rider Henrik von Eckermann, who had set a new record for the longest time as world number one. Von Eckermann’s dominance, largely attributed to his extraordinary partnership with the legendary King Edward, has defined the sport in recent years.

A standout figure in international show jumping, Farrington is also the only American rider to have ever won the prestigious Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final twice: in 2019 with Austria 2 and in 2015 with Voyeur, out of eight total participations consistently demonstrating his place among the sport’s elite.
