This year the IJRC has attended several important meetings, in order to work in the best possible way to improve our Sport and the quality of show jumping events.
A list of meetings attended by the Club in the first three months of 2023 follows, along with the subjects discussed at each:
- 17th January: meeting with the EEF Board.
- 14th February: meeting in Lausanne between FEI (FEI President Ingmar De Vos) and IJRC (IJRC Director Eleonora Ottaviani) mainly on welfare and fee increase.
- 14th February: meeting with the EEF Board.
- 1st March: meeting in Lausanne between FEI (FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibáñez) and IJRC (IJRC Director Eleonora Ottaviani) mainly on conversion rate, minimum and maximum prize money required, increasing riders’ expenses at the shows in order to try to limit costs, entry fees increase, inflation, definition of Points Group.
- 6th March: IJRC Director was in the Netherlands for the 9th edition of the Young Riders Academy Selection. Also, the IJRC member Thierry Pommel was there with Emilie Hendrix and Otto Becker.
- 10-11-12 March: during the event in Den Bosh there were several meetings with the IJRC President Kevin Staut, Director Eleonora Ottaviani and riders members to discuss the most important topics of the moment. The Director additionally met with several grooms since their voice is so crucial and important for our sport.
The next meetings are:
- 27 of March: between FEI, AJO and IJRC (Eleonora Ottaviani IJRC Director and François Mathy JR Vice President) about the cost of jumping events and the costs which riders have to sustain.
- 28th of March: a FEI Jumping Nations Cup Taskforce Meeting.
- 29th of March: well-being commission.
- 24th - 25th April: FEI Sports Forum.
