TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Cost & Extra Costs:

A revised cost table and overview of extra charges were finalized and submitted to the Jumping Committee during their in-person Meeting on 26-27 May.

Key updates:

A revised cost table and overview of extra charges have been finalized and submitted to the FEI and the IJRC President, after several discussions with stakeholders, emphasized:

  • The extra stable costs for non-competing horses have been reduced from €300 to €250.
  • Electricity and parking costs, are currently set at €100 for both together, keeping the maximum charge at €100.

There are many variables to consider, such as the type of event, season, climate (e.g., air conditioning required in warmer countries), infrastructure availability and the specific venue setup.

For this reason, the Club is working to determine the actual electricity cost for lorries staying 4–5 days, and it is in charge for setting daily electricity consumption of the lorries in Kilowatts.

Concerns raised:

  •  Electricity supply must be standardized and fair for all
  • A maximum electricity consumption per lorry should be defined in the schedules

Ranking:

There was a discussion about the possibility of reinstating ranking points for H and HH competitions, in cases of: two rounds with 1 to 4 penalties and one round with 1 to 4 penalties.

Open questions include:

  • How to properly evaluate young athletes
  • Individual vs. team performance?
  • Course difficulty?
  • Double clear percentage?

Blood rules:

It has been suggested to implement a two-warning system:

  • No disqualification after the first warning
  • A one-month suspension after the second.

Steward

  • Stewards should actively support riders
  • Those working at smaller events should be given opportunities to travel and gain experience at major competitions

The Club will continue to address these issues—alongside all matters affecting the sport—with a strong commitment to constructive collaboration with all the stakeholders.
