Oliver won the prestigious title in great style, since he was the only one who jumped all the difficult courses, built by Belgian Bart Vonck, withouth penalities.
“It’s an emotional win for me and my family,” Fletcher shared. “My father couldn’t be able to be here for a week but he said if I was in a good position, he would have tried to come out. Our farrier back home, Andy, he was amazing, drove him out and they came for the day. It was unbelievable.”
The new European Young Rider Champion rode Zangersheide gelding Hello William (by Waldo Van Dungen):
"Hello William has been phenomenal all week, to jump clear in five rounds over 1.50m courses is amazing and all I can ask for. He jumped his heart out and made my job easier” said Olli, who expressed also Immense gratitude to the owners.
Irish rider Francis Derwin jumped to silver with Flexi K (by Flex A Bill), finishing the championship with a total of 4.61 penalty points. The bronze medal went to Jules Orsolini with Charlotte 198 (by Casall) that touched only one barrier in the very last round.
