Statement by IJRC regarding the situation in Ukraine
The IJRC wishes to express its regret for Russia’s blatant violation of international law regards to Ukraine and supports the IOC statement that "urges International Federations to relocate or cancel sport events currently planned in Russia or Belarus”, "no Russian or Belarus national flag may be displayed and no Russian or Belarus anthem played at international sports events.“
Athletes who are members of the IJRC will not compete in any sporting events held in Russia or Belarus.
The IJRC furthermore shares and supports the EEF’s position and stands in full solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
