THE HUBSIDE JUMPING DE GRIMAUD’S CALENDAR WILL BOAST TWO ADDITIONAL DATES IN AUGUST

The HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud is a keen supporter of high-level sport and has been the main European international show jumping event since shows resumed.

Two new dates have been announced in August, thus bringing the total number of weeks of competition from midAugust to mid-October to seven. The world of show jumping, which has been seriously impacted by successive cancellations and an outdoor season where CSI 4 and 5* shows, (the highest levels in the hierarchy of CSI - Concours de Saut Internationaux (international show jumping competitions) established by the FEI- Fédération Equestre Internationale) can be counted on the fingers of one hand, can rely on the unfailing support of HUBSIDE and its president Sadri Fegaier.

After four weeks of competition already organised in June and July on the initiative of Sadri Fegaier, the successful businessman and international rider, during the HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud, a new series of shows will be showcased from midAugust to mid-October at the Haras des Grillons’ site on the French Riviera. The health measures to fight against the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic remain in force, in accordance with the guidelines.

Thus, the HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud’s season will boast two new dates. Seven weeks of shows will be taking place in the Gulf of Saint Tropez from 20 August to 18 October:

from 20 to 23 August: CSI 4*, 2* and 1*

from 27 to 30 August: CSI 5*, 2* and 1*

from 10 to 13 September: CSI 4*, 2* and 1*

from 17 to 20 September: CSI 5*, 2* and 1*

from 24 to 27 September: CSI 4*, 2* and 1*

from 8 to 11 October: CSI 4*, 2* and 1*

from 15 to 18 October: CSI 4*, 2* and 1*

For Sadri Fegaier, the President of the HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud and the President of the Haras des Grillons, “the opportunity to support world show jumping, by organising shows which will be among the only ones of this level this year, is a tremendous honour and is also a commitment that I am making to our discipline. These events are essential for professional sport: riders need to practise their sport and make a living, so that the equine industry, in particular in Europe, remains as excellent as it was before the health and then the economic crisis resulting from Covid-19.”

In 2020, the HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud will have played host to eleven weeks of shows: eight CSI 4* and three CSI 5* events i.e. seventy five percent of the competitions of this level organised this year in France, a country that is used to being the leading organiser of horse shows in the world. In June and July, the HUBSIDE JUMPING de Grimaud played host to the best riders on the planet (22 of the World Top 30’s riders were present for the CSI 5* from 2 to July 5), who all praised the quality of the Haras des Grillons site and of the organisation of these first post-Covid shows.
