Team Belgium Claim Victory in the 2019 BMO Nations' Cup at Spruce Meadows

CALGARY, Sept. 7, 2019 /CNW/ - Team Belgium claimed the top prize at the 2019 BMO Nations' Cup – one of the most prestigious team show-jumping competitions in the world. The nation's riders were led by Chef d'Equipe Peter Weinberg.

Ten of the best show-jumping teams in the world, each made up of four members selected by their national federations to represent their country, competed for the prestigious championship title. The course was designed by Olympic course designer Leopoldo Palacios of Venezuela; it featured 15 jumping efforts, covering 485 metres.

It was a grand finish for Belgium. Team members Pieter Clemens, Olivier Philippaerts, Francois Jr Mathy, and Yves Vanderhasselt pulled off a top-notch performance, solidifying a total of 9 faults over second place finishers, Team Canada.
