The Paris 2024 Games are officially open!
As we read in the official olympics website, the OPENING CEREMONY held on Friday 26 July, was bold, original and unique for many reasons such as:
- A ceremony outside a stadium
- A ceremony on the river
- A ceremony with admission for many spectators
- A ceremony designed for and by athletes
Many athletes from 205 countries, paraded along the River Seine on a wet evening, before the Eiffel Tower was lit up in dramatic technicolour, creating an amazing spectacle.
The three Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Eventing and Jumping are taking centre stage in the beautiful gardens of the Palace of Versailles. The Eventing started today with the dressage phase that see in the lead the strong British team.
The Jumping horses will arrive on 30 July and their First Horse Inspection takes place the next day, followed by an evening Training session. Stay tuned!
