2 top horse ruled out of Europeans

6 August- After the announcement of some teams for the European Championship, it appeared that 2 super horse were not in the short list.

They are: GLOCK'S LONDON ridden by Gerco Schröder and ORIENT EXPRESS ridden by Patrice Delaveau.

The reason seems to be the same for both horses: to work them for Rio 2016 Olympic Games, without give them too much pressure this year.

Indeed, GLOCK'S LONDON will compete this weekend in the CSI***Ommen after competing last time in march.

Regarding Orient Express, the owner Emmanuele-Perron Pette, agreed with the rider, said that they don't want to press to much the horse in order to preserve him for Rio. If French team should have qualified for the Olimpic, the horse will be available for the European but French team is already qualified so we preferred not to risk too tired the horse. The owner added that the horse has already started the preparation for the Olimpic.
We will see Orient Express to jump in Valkenswaard and Calgary.
