A special celebration for Ludger Beerbaum in Barcelona today
The four-time Olympic gold medallist Ludger Beerbaum who helped his team secure bronze in Rio on Casello, announced his retirement from the national team few weeks ago, so at Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Final in Barcelona it will be his last appearance in the German Team.
This afternoon in Barcelona there was a touching celebration that marked the retirement of Ludger, who did a an emotional speech in which he thanked all friends, owners and his family that have always supported him. He added that he made the decision to retire some month before Rio and he wish all the best luck to his team mates.
During this touching moment the International Jumping Riders Club of which Ludger is vice president, gave him a silver box on which there is written:
"Congratulations Ludger for all the successes with your Team but..die Arbeit mit uns endet heute nicht!"
