Barcelona: Furusiyya FEI Nations CupTM Draw



9 October - The Furusiyya FEI Nations CupTM Jumping Final, which has become the most important equestrian event of the year and a prominent test for CSIO Barcelona, will start tomorrow on the Olympic track of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona . The first qualification round will bring together 14 nations classified in six regional leagues after one year of competition.

The best eight teams from Thursday will go on to the grand final on Saturday, while the rest will be competing for the Challenge Cup on Friday.

The Spanish team, made up of Sergio Álvarez Moya, Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, Paola Amilibia, Manuel Añón and Pilar Cordón, will be thirteenth in line to jump after the draw which was held today in the evening. Marco Fusté, head of the Spanish team, has reassured that “we don’t have much pressure on us due to our position as host. We are happy to be here, especially as we have qualified thanks to our own achievements. Our goal is to be in Saturday’s final”.
