13 July - PROGRAM IN BRIEF:
Thursday:
The first day of the show begins at 9.00with competitions against the clock. This comprises a round, in which the rider completes the course with as few faults as possible in the fastest time. The competitor with the fewest faults and the quickest time wins. If the points are equal then the competitor with the fastest time wins.
The events continue at 1.00 – first qualifiying round for young horses. At 3.30 we have the qualifying round for the „Grand Prix. In this event the riders compete in a round with as few faults as possible – this is not against the clock.
All competitors having the lowest or the equal lowest number of faults score then go on to compete against each other in a jump off. The winner is the competitor with the lowest number of faults and the fastest time.
Friday
Friday begins at 9.00 with the second qualifying round for young horses. Immediately following this at11.00 is a jumping competition in 2 phases. If the rider makes a fault in the first part then s/he is eliminated and is placed according to the number of faults s/he has accumulated. If the rider has no faults in the first round then s/he continues the course with a immediately following jump off – the second phase of the course against the clock. The winner is the rider who has the fewest faults in the fastest time.
At 14.30 there is the „Grand Prix of Europe“, a jumping competition against the clock withone jump-. The winner is the competitor with the lowest number of faults and the best time.
Saturday
On Saturday all eyes are on the team Event – the 100
th Nations Cup of Germany. However the day starts at9.00 with a jumping class against the clock – riders and horses take jumps of 1.45 m. At 11.00 we continue with a jumping competition against the clock. The winner is the competitor with the fastest time – any faults are added to the time in the form of a time-penalty (in seconds). At 14.30 the Nations Cup starts. This competition is over 2 rounds and jumps up to 1.60-metre. This competition is made up of 2 rounds timed against the clock for teams. Each teams has four riders. After all results of all four riders the best three results are counting for the team score. If a rider makes faults in the first round then these are taken over into the second round. The winner is the team with the lowest faults score and the best time after the two rounds out of the best three riders of the team.
Sunday
The final day of the tournament begins at 9.00 with a accumulator jumping competition with one joker. Here the competitors take on a course consisting of 10 jumps of 1.40 m to 1.60 m in height. The jumps are set up according to the level of difficulty. Jump one is worth one point, jump two is worth two points and so on… In case of a fault then no points will be awarded for the jump.
At the last fence the rider can choose between receiving 10 points for the final obstacle or playing her/his joker. By choosing the joker and making the jump, then the rider doubles his score for the fence. If s/he knocks down the fence the points will be deducted. The winner is the rider with the most points.
At 11.30 there is the „Young Horses Final“ in which those riders compete who qualified in the previous rounds.
At 14:30 the „Grand Prix“ begins with a jump-off over 1.60 m fences. This jumping competition goes over one round, in which riders who get the same lowest number of faults in the first roundwill compete against each other in a final jump off. . The winner is the competitor with the fewest faults and the quickest time.
