28 September - At the World Equestrian Games, Daniel Deusser might have narrowly missed out on the Final Four, but in his private life he had great cause for celebration. His partner Caroline Wauters is expecting their first child at the end of February, and it looks like he will retain the ride on his top horse Cornet d’Amour. Daniel Deusser lives together with his partner Caroline Wauters in Belgium. In 2012, he joined the Stephex Stables as a stable rider. Deusser was given the 11-year-old son of Cornet Obolensky, Cornet d’Amour, at his disposal until the World Equestrian Games, after which the horse would be sold. Now it would seem that the horse will remain under Deusser’s saddle after all. “The owners of the horse have assured me verbally that they are very happy and will not sale Cornet,” a very happy Deusser said.
