Denis Lynch suffers heavy fall in Rotterdam

22 June - Coulisa, the mount of Ireland’s number one showjumper Denis Lynch, was taken to a local veterinary clinic after a heavy fall during the closing grand prix at the Rotterdam Nations Cup show today (Sunday, 22 June).

The 10-year-old mare injured her near hind leg and is currently undergoing further assessment and treatment. Denis was uninjured in the incident, which happened after Coulisa picked up a stride early at a triple bar.

The grand prix was won by Frenchman Patrice Delaveau, who was also a member of the winning French Nations Cup team. Britain’s Nations Cup team — Joe Clee, Spencer Roe, Jessie Drea and Guy Williams — finished 4th, with the Irish quartet in 7th place.
