European Champion Roger-Yves Bost takes the first victory in Hamburg
28 May - Reigning European Champion Roger-Yves Bost won the opening CSI5* class of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Hamburg today executing a super-fast round with Quaoukoura du Ty in the star-studded CSI5*/3* 1.40m.
With 133 starters in the combined 3* class, Bosty had many to contend with for the top spot, but the notoriously fast frenchman is always tough to beat. Germany's Johannes Ehning and Appearance 2 took 2nd, less than 0.2s behind the winner.
With all the top names in the show jumping world giving their horses a first outing at the historic Derby Park this afternoon the competition was world-class and offered a taste of what's to come. The beautiful grass arena, looking fantastic after last week's heat wave in Germany, will be a magnificent stage for this weekend's LGCT Championship Round Three Grand Prix.
