FEI SPORTS FORUM 2018

There are just a handful of days left to register for the FEI Sports Forum taking place on 26-27 March 2018 at the International Management Development Institute (IMD) in Lausanne. There is a focus on youth for the FEI Sports Forum 2018 with sessions on day 1 dedicated to this important demographic and the pathways to professional sport among other challenges faced by the next generation of athletes. All the disciplines will aptly be represented by a panel of young athletes aged 16-21 years of age in order to zoom in on the obstacles but also to discuss, debate and propose solutions for the future. Day 1 will also include a presentation on the Youth Olympic Games and the first part of the athlete welfare session presenting the IOC’s toolkit for harassment and abuse.

Day 2 resumes with the athlete welfare session where medical experts and industry leaders will present the latest findings on concussion and return-to-play policy and medication and recreational drugs. The remainder of the second day will then be devoted to risk management in Eventing; optimising performances in a challenging climate; the Working Group on FEI Officials; and the findings of the Dressage Judging Working Group.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to contribute to discussions that will help shape the future of our sport. Deadline to register online is 5 March 2018, after this date, all registrations will be subject to availability.

Note that this year, due to the focus on youth, there is a reduced rate younger delegates (U25) in order to encourage as many young athletes and equestrian professionals to take part.
