Great Britain’s Mike Florence is the new chef d’équipe for Turkey

Turkey’s junior, young rider, junior and children-on-horses teams have a new chef d’equipe: Mike Florence.
He was the Great Britain’s junior and young rider show jumping chef d’equipe; with him Great Britain, between 1997 and 2009, won 29 European Championship medals including 10 team and four individual gold medals.
For the last 7 years, Mike Florence has been assistant manager to the Spanish show jumping team.
Turkey team has not qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games but will send two individuals. Mike Florence said that for this first season in Turkey the priorities are the European Championships for young riders, juniors and children, due in Millstreet, Ireland on July 27-30, 2016.
Mr Florence will divide his time between his home in Wigan and Istanbul.
