IN MEMORIAM OF NEYLAN ETIMAN, WE LOST A FANTASTIC STEWARD.

Neylan Etiman (TUR) an active IJOC member for over a decade, passed away due to complications following surgery early last week.

Neylan was well-known as an FEI Official for her eclectic contributions to jumping discipline. She worked in 3 Olympic Games – in Athens, she co-managed the stewards’ office for Paul Weier, in London she was a stewarding team member, while in Rio she assisted in the Mixed Zone – and in 2 WEGs – Kentucky and Caen – where she ran the stewards’ office, for all disciplines at the former and for Dressage and Jumping at the latter, almost single-handedly. She was also an L3 Jumping Judge and Level 2 Course Designer, and officiated at many of the top Jumping events across the world. Her all-round experience made her a valid member of any team, and her approachability meant that she was also a popular figure amongst grooms, riders and trainers alike.

The International Jumping Riders Club extends its sincere condolences to Neylan Etiman’ family and many friends.
