Jalisca Solier has left us
Our thoughts go out to our board member Steve Guerdat and his team for the loss of the great Jalisca, one of the best horse in the world.
Jalisca - owned by Yves G. Piaget - with Steve won the European team gold medal at Windsor in 2009, the team bronze medal at the Olympics in Hong Kong in 2008, she won the Grand Prix World Cup Geneva and Vigo in 2006 and 2007, the Rolex Top Ten Final in 2010 as well as many more victories.
She was retired in Geneva ahead of Christmas. Unfortunately she had an accident in the field at home that caused an irreparable fracture in the leg that forced the decision to put Jalisca to sleep.
In a statement, Guerdat said: “You are and you remain one of the most beautiful things that has happened to me in my life and I could never thank you enough for everything you've done for me. I’ll miss you my princess Lisa, I love you.”
