The Dutch rider Leopold Van Hasten riding VDL Groep Zidane, has won the Sunday’s biggest class of the Casas Novas CSI5* in La Coruna, Spain: the Azkar Trophy. With a very fast time of 37.89 seconds, he beat Olivier Philippaerts on Early Morning Mist ( time of 38.36 seconds) and his twin brother Nicola Philippaerts and Quenzo of Roque (time 38.56 seconds).
More than 9,000 people attended the 12 classes held this weekend.
There were six Trophies of 2* category, dominated in their majority by national horse riders, and other six events of 5* category.
The most outstanding equestrians in Casas Novas were Gonzalo Añón, from Laracha, winning three CSI2* Trophies and Gregory Wathelet that won CSI5* Grand Prix.
