LUDGER BEERBAUM ROUNDS UP 125 NATIONS CUP PARTICIPATIONS
June - German show jumper, Ludger Beerbaum is 51 year old and has reached a new mile stone last weekend. The German rider competed his 125th Nations Cup competition last weekend in Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. A remarkable achievement in a remarkable career.
“Normally an international rider will compete about 25 Nations Cups in his life. I experienced about 100 participations more… However I don’t know if I should be happy or afraid of this number,” states Ludger Beerbaum in an interview.
Before it was Günter Winkler who had the German record. Winkler competed in 105 Nations Cup competitions. Third most often Nations Cup rider is Franke Sloothaak (80 competitions), followed by Marcus Ehning with 67 Nations Cups on his name.
