Luca Maria Moneta takes today’s biggest win in Göthenburg



27 February - Italy’s top rider and speed specialist Luca Maria Moneta proved unbeatable in today’s major class in Göthenburg aboard his tiny but courageous Connery (Cordobes) and bettered a list of 46 superstars with no less than 21 exiting the arena faultless in this 1’50m speed class presented by City Gross. Home rider, Henrik Von Eckermann in the saddle of Crespo PKZ (Cornet Obolensky) would take the lead , setting the crowd on fire and would stay on top all the way to the second last, and when it looked like the class was his, Italy’s Luca Maria Moneta and Connery blazed the timers in an impressive time of 57’63, improving Henrik’s time by almost three seconds to take the win of today’s Grand Prix qualifier in Göthenburg. Second on day one’s speed class, Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts will take a 3rd place in today’s major class aboard Quenzo De La Roque (Kannan) stopping the clock in 61’18.
