MARKUS EHNING WINNER OF THE GRAND PRIX OF MADRID LGCT PRESENTED BY CAIXABANK

Equestrian fans who have attended this afternoon at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid have enjoyed the spectacular show that have provided the best riders of the world. 50 pairs from more than 25 countries have competed in the Grand Prix of Madrid Longines Global Champions Tour presented by CaixaBank, with € 320,000 in prizes. Riding Pret a Tout, the German rider Markus Ehning has done an impeccable double clear round and qualified to fight for victory in the jump off with seven other pairs. With a time of 35.17 seconds he has led Longines Grand Prix, leaving in second position Saudi Abdullah Alsharbatly with Tobalio – with a time of 36.08 seconds. The third position in an exciting jump off has been for the Spanish rider Eduardo Alvarez Aznar, with Rokfeller of Pleville Bois Mar, who has done an impressive performance in a time of 36.38 seconds. The rider from the Club de Campo has been the only Spanish that has qualified for the second round.
