MCLAIN WARD brilliant winner of the Loro Piana Grand Prix in Rome

What a great weekend for the American rider McLain Ward at the Rome CSIO5*!

After winning yesterday the small Grand Prix Engel & Völkers, today he was the best also in the Loro Piana Grand Prix of Rome riding his 10-year-old mare HH Azur.

The jumping course prove to be demanding as only four riders out of 50, jumped the 2 courses without touching any fences.

Peder Fredricson of Sweden finished second aboard H&M All, 2 seconds slower the McLain.

In third place Laura Kraut riding the young 9-year-old Zeremonie.

Germany’s Marcus Ehning collected just 1 time penalty in the first round, and he jumped a super clear second round, finishing in 4th place with his stallion Cornado NRW (Cornet Obolensky x Acobat). Kent Farrington and Voyeur finished with a total of four points, placing fifth.
