Nicola Philippaerts won the Grand Prix in Omaha
The young Belgian rider Nicola Philippaerts won yesterday, the Grand Prix in Omaha riding his 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood Harley vd Bisschop. Nicola announced to retire from the ultimate Worldcup finals round in Omaha, his young horse, and so he decides to ride his 10 year old horse in the Saturday night Gran Prix. The pair win the class in big style, producing one of the 2 clear round of the day. In the jump off Nicola stopped the clock at 38.65, a bit faster then the runner up italian rider Lorenzo de Luca. In third place Ludger Beerbaum and his grey-mare, Chiara (Contender).
