PHILIPPE WEISHAUPT IS ROLEX CHAMPION IN KNOKKE

30 June  - The Rolex Championship of Knokke has been won by Philipp Weishaupt, the rider of Ludger Beerbaum. His compatriote Marcus Ehning ended up in second place only tenths of seconds behind. The winning horse Chico is a 1.90m tall gelding. He has beaten the tiny and little stallion Comme Il Faut, the youngest sensation of the barn of Marcus Ehning. Ferenc Szentirmai (Chaccland) from Ukraïne placed third. Janne-Friederike Meyer was the third German in the top four. She impressed on Goya, a Belgian gelding by Wandor vd Mispelaere. The horse is the revelation of the German team in 2015 without any doubt. He has the quality to jump the biggest championships in the world and he comes from the biggest dealing stable from Belgium: Stephex Stables.

Winner Philipp Weishaupt not only came to Knokke Hippique with Chico. He also brought his former top stallion Monte Bellini. ‘He’s been two years out with an injury. Knokke was his first show and he felt amazing, just the same as two years ago.’
