Pius Schwizer is in the lead after the first part of the Longines FEI World Cup Final on Quidam de Vivier

18th April - Pius Schwizer had a perfect start into the World Cup Final in Lyon, after winning the speed and handiness class, the first of the three competitions and he is now in the lead . Aboard the ten year old French gelding Quidam du Vivier Schwizer was clear and thanks to tight turns, he was very fast with a time of 63.37 seconds. In second place is Patrice Delaveau and the Holstein stallion Lacrimoso HDC (by Landjunge), they were in the lead till Schwizer crossed the finish line. In third place, Ludger Beerbaum that rode a great round on Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) – taking out strides on the line with the vertical at five to the oxer at six and then to the vertical at seven, crossing the finish line on 65.54 in this Table C class.  Just behind follows Olympic champion Steve Guerdat (Nino des Buissonnets). Pius Schwizer commented about his horse: "Quidam is a super horse and I love his attitude. He can do even more…" . The second competition, a 1.50-1.60m class with jump-off, will take place this Saturday evening (20.15h), where Pius Schwizer will ride Toulago and also in the decisive third competition on Easter Monday.
