Rio: No Cornet d’Amour, Codex one and Brooklyn
The German show jumpers Team will not be able to count on some top horses in Rio. Daniel Deußer’s Cornet d’Amour, Christan Ahlmann’s Codex One and Mario Stevens Brooklyn, three horses from the long list, cannot compete in Rio. German national coach Otto Becker explained: “Cornet d’Amour and Codex One are back in training after minor injuries, but they will not be fit to compete at the last sighting, the CHIO Aachen.” Steven’s Brooklyn was competed last week in Falsterbo, but is also not fit to compete in Aachen. “Of course these losses are hard,” the chef d’équipe said. “Two of the horses are also very experienced when it comes to championships. But Daniel and Christian have other horses who are able to meet the requirements to participate at the Olympic Games.” Deußer can still count on First Class van Eckelghem, Ahlmann on Taloubet Z and Epleaser van’t Heike.
