SCOTT BRASH HOLDS ON TO WORLD NO.1 POSITION AND BEN MAHER RETAINS WORLD NO.2

4 July - For the eighth consecutive month, Scott Brash MBE from Peebleshire and Ben Maher MBE from Bishops Stortford have held onto their respective World No.1 and No.2 positions on the Longines FEI World Ranking Jumping List.

The gap between the two riders has opened further with Scott being some 561 points ahead of Ben. German riders Ludger Beerbaum and Marcus Ehning sit in third and fourth place with Kevin Staut taking fifth place having leapt up from ninth.

In addition to this incredible success, Great Britain also holds pole position on the FEI Combination in Jumping list. Holding the No. 1 spot is Ben Maher and Cella, the grey mare with whom he won a Team Gold at the European Championships last year. Scott Brash sits in third place on this list with Hello Sanctos, the bay gelding owned by Lady Pauline Kirkham and Lord & Lady Harris with whom he won a Team Gold at both the London 2012 Olypmic Games and 2013 European Championships.
