STEVE GUERDAT HONOURED WITH STATUE IN HOME VILLAGE
In his home town, Brassecourt, Worldcup winner and Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat has been honoured with a statue. The statue represents Guerdat with his Olympic horse, Nino de Buissonnets (by Kannan). The Swiss show jumper was invited and present at the reveal of this new piece of art. The statue is Guerdat and Nino jumping the Olympic symbol.
On his Facebook account, Steve Guerdat announced to be thrilled and surprised by this honouration. “I was overwhelmed,” states Guerdat. “My fellow town-‘folks’ let me know I deserved this, as they are very proud on the achievements I made in the last years. This gesture is somethin I could never ask or dream about. There is no bigger recognition for my hard work as this.”
