Scott Brash and Hello Annie win again in Madrid!

5 May - The World No1 may have had an unlucky four faults with his Olympic horse Hello Sanctos in the first round of last night’s feature LGCT Grand Prix, but in the speed classes he has been virtually unbeatable. Brash won the CSI5* 1.45m yesterday afternoon in front of crowds of families enjoying the beautiful Spanish sunshine at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Second was Luca Moneta (ITA) and Jesus de la Commune, and 3rd Doda de Miranda (BRA) and AD Argos.

Brash won by over 1.5s from the speedy Italian, who was also placed 2nd behind the Briton in yesterday’s speed class. Brash had the benefit of the draw, coming later on in the class which saw many clears from the 26-strong start list. Doda de Miranda was first to set the time to beat of 59.21 from 16th to go. Moneta then shaved over two seconds off the Brazilian’s time with some tight turns and fast riding, but Scott Brash and his relatively new mount Hello Annie showed once again just how quick they are over the ground to claim their second win of the show.
