26 May -
Scott Brash will be targeting the second leg of the
Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping in Aachen, Germany, at the weekend (29-31 May).
This follows the Scotsman’s
win of the Rolex Grand Prix with Hello Sanctos in Geneva, Switzerland, in December last year, where he also claimed the Rolex International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) Top 10 Final.
Scott will now
bid for the €1m (£707,386) bonus on offer for any rider who can claim all three grands prix — CHI Geneva, Aachen and Spruce Meadows.
“I’ve everything I want —
a wonderful horse and wonderful owners, and my team are unbelievable. I’m on top of the world today,” said Scott of his win last year.
“I’ll put Aachen on my list now —
I’ll be trying!”
Scott recently
returned to the top spot in the Longines world rankings (7 May).
The 29-year-old had held the position as world number one for 16 months from December 2013. However he lost his position last month to Germany’s Daniel Deusser, dropping to number two in the world.
Some good results recently, including dual victory at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami, have helped Scott back to the top.
Scott will compete together with nine of the top ten riders on the World Ranking which includes Daniel Deusser and Steve Guerdat.
