Simon Delestre takes Audi Prize in Den Bosch

Saturday: What an exciting and spectacular competition! The jump-off counted 14 competitors and every rider beat the time of the rider before him. It was the last rider who entered the ring who could keep Jos Lansink from winning, Simon Delestre who is known for his fast rides. Everybody held their breath and Simon showed the public it could be done faster, 36.60 seconds. The Frenchman and his 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding Napoli du Ry were in front of the line-up for the prizegiving. Jos had to settle for the runner-up spot with the KWPN stallion Zerlin M (by Berlin). Third place went to British veteran Michael Whitaker and another KWPN stallion, Valentin R (by Heartbreaker). The best Dutch riders, Sjaak Sleiderink (Zhivago) and Leopold van Asten (VDL Groep Zidane) finished in fourth and fifth place.
