Switzerland’s Guerdat takes title in mighty final battle in Gothenburg
Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat, World No. 1 and 2012 Olympic champion, joined an elite group of just five riders when winning his third title at the edge-of-the-seat Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2019 Final this afternoon.
First-day winner, he dropped to third in the standings after Friday’s second competition but two foot-perfect rounds today with his 11-year-old gelding Alamo saw him pin compatriot Martin Fuchs and Clooney into second place while Sweden’s Peder Fredricson and Catch Me Not finished third.
