The showjumping world is shaken by the death of one of its top international show jumper: Tim Stockdale, a month after being diagnosed with cancer.
Tim Stockdale, born 1964, he first represented Great Britain in 1988. He has now represented his country on over 50 occasions in Nations’ Cup teams including, the 2002 World Equestrian Games, the 2008 Olympic Games in China and the 2009 European Championships. In early 2010, he served as Chef d’Equipe for the victorious Great Britain team in Nations’ Cup contest in Abu Dhabi.
Tim’s dedication and passion for the sport was always in evidence because in addition to his sport life, he had a busy roster of lecture/demonstrations, training and broadcasting commitments.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Tim, and to all those who were fortunate enough to work alongside him within the sport.
