The IJRC Director Mrs Eleonora Ottaviani commented Steve Guerdat's victory

The Longines Final World Cup 2016 edition once again showed a great example of how the sport should be.
Very high levels competition, top quality horses, very talented riders and an enthusiastic and excited public.
In a World Cup final that lasts 3 days, the winner has to show in front of a huge crowd, the consistency of his talent and the hight performance of his horse.

Steve Guerdat is one of the best riders of this time, and not only because he is also the reigning Olympic Champion and the winner of the last year World Cup edition, but because he won all of these titles, riding 3 different horses, each of them with very different temperament.
To achieve all of this you have to be a super talented rider, an outstanding champion, helped by a very strong team.

The IJRC Director Mrs Eleonora Ottaviani commented Steve's victory:

"This success confirms that we are in front of a real great Champion. It was nice to see him again smiling with a serene smile during the days of the Competition. And it was even more beautiful to see him as a very happy winner!! We can say now that the past is really behind us."
