The Netherlands, Champions of the Longines FEI Nations Cup
The Dutch team claimed the Longines FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final, the most important equestrian teams competition in the world, in a thrilling final held this evening at the 106 CSIO Barcelona.
The Netherlands rode a spectacular class. The Dutch team, formed by Jur Vrieling (Vdl Glasgow V. Merelsnest), Michel Hendrix (Baileys), Marc Houtzager (Sterrehof’S Calimero) and Harrie Smolders (Don Vhp Z), and led by Rob Ehrens, only scored one penalty in their three best courses.
The United States and Belgium, both tied with four penalties, completed the podium.
