With just six days to go before the Furusiyya FEI Nations CupTM Jumping Final, the 18th best nations in the world have confirmed their attendance to the event: Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, The United States, France, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Qatar, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, as well as Saudi Arabia and Russia, that will compete in the individual trophies.
The three Olympic medal winning teams are the most notable participants: France (Gold), USA (Silver) and Germany (Bronze). In the German team, two riders stand out: Christian Ahlmann, current world number one rider, and Ludger Beerbaum, one of the greatest riders in the world, having won 4 Olympic Gold Medals, 2 World Championships, 6 European Championships, amongst other international championships. The British rider Nick Skelton and the Swedish Peder Friedricson, Gold and Silver at the Rio Olympics, will also be competing. The French Penelope Leprevost is the best female rider in the competition, as she holds the sixth place in the world ranking and has just won Team Gold at the Rio Olympics.
