Willem Greve wins the Sterrehof’s Opium Grand Prix of Amsterdam
1 February - On a difficult track, it was home rider Willem Greve who took the win in the Sterrehof’s Opium Grand Prix of Amsterdam this afternoon aboard the stallion Carambole (Cassini I x Concerto II). Forty eight riders took part in this 4* Grand Prix, out of these, only 13 made it to the jump-off, where only six riders went double clear. Willem Greve took the win ahead of Egyptian rider Karim Elzoghby after he shaved a few tenths of a second off of his time. Third place went to current World Cup Champion Daniel deusser (GER) and the 12 year old mare Carriere (Catoki x Contango).
